MaineShare is excited to announce our 3rd year of the smaller footprint Hike and Bike. Once again we will hold our Hike and Bike in a virtual format that will save time, paper, fuel and offer more flexibility for our participants. 

What is a Virtual Event?

Start and finish your hike or bike anywhere you want! Our virtual Hike and Bike gives you the opportunity to join in from you own backyard or on your favorite trail or ride. 

Step-by-Step Guide to a Virtual Event

ArrowOnce you have registered we will send you an email with links to send out to your email list for easy on-line donations

ArrowPick a date to participate between August 1st and Labor Day.

ArrowPlan your outing. Pick a place to hike, bike, run or paddle. Can't decide? Click here for a list to choose from.  

ArrowStart collecting pledges. Print your pledge form here .

ArrowGet out the word! Send an email with a link to Hike & Bike to all of your friends, family and coworkers to increase participation! Contact people through Facebook and Twitter.  

ArrowTurn in your pledges when you are done. Pledges can be mailed to MaineShare, PO Box 2095, Augusta, Maine 04338 or can be dropped off at our office in Augusta. Pretty Simple!

Going to be on vacation during this time? Don't worry you can participate from anywhere!

The first 15 people to register will receive a pair of tickets to MOFGA's Common Ground Country Fair in September!

Smaller Footprint

Lots of resources saved!  (Fuel for participants, volunteers and staff; fuel for sag wagons and meetings; paper for brochures and flyers; envelopes, stamps and mailings to participants; paint to mark routes; paper plates, napkins, cups and disposable cutlery used at event; bottles for bottled water, fabric and printing of t-shirts; ice for coolers; time, time, time!)
